NHL Hottest Picks for Wednesday | Sides, Totals, Puck Lines, Periods
There are three games in the NHL tonight, and for us, this means value. There are other nights of the week when the lineup is full, and certainly more games to bet on, however, we like these nights when there is less action, it allows the bettor to focus on betting value, rather than taking chances. Make sure you have the best offshore sports bookie that offers the sharpest lines and sports odds.
Colorado Avalanche (6-5-1, 2-3-0 AWAY)
Vs Vancouver Canucks (5-9-2, 2-4-1 HOME)
Colorado (PL -1.5 +155) (ML -155) (O/U 6)
Vancouver (PL +1.5 -175) (ML +135) (O/U 6)
Rogers Arena, Vancouver, British Columbia
9:00 PM ET ESPN+
Neither one of these teams come in with a mandate under their belt, neither are burning down barns, and both are a slight disappointment. It’s safe to say the Avs are the biggest disappointment, however, they have had to deal with early injuries to MacKinnon, Compher, and Byram. The Canucks have no injured players.
The bright spot for the Avalanche is winning two consecutive, and three of the last five games. Their last win came on the 13th against SJ 6-2, against these Canucks on the 12th (in CO) 7-1, then two straight losses @ CBJ 2-4 on the 6th, and a loss to CBJ at home, on the 3rd, and to start the first win of the 3 of 5 wins, against Minnesota on October 3rd, 4-1. Over the last three wins, the Avs are averaging 5.6 goals per game.
The Canucks are struggling to find the winners circle right now, after dropping 4 of the last 5 games and 3 of them have not been pretty. Three nights ago on the 14th, they lost in Anaheim, 5-1, on the 13th in Vegas, a 7-4 loss, then in Colorado on the 11th, a 7-1 loss, then a loss on the 9th to Anaheim 3-2, in Vancouver, then back on the 7th, they picked up a win against the Mavericks, in Dallas, 6-3. Over the last 4 consecutive losses, the Canucks have allowed 5.5 goals.
Pick: Colorado -155 Canucks +1.5, Colorado 2nd Period, Over 6
Blackhawks Vs Kraken
10:00 PM ET TNT
Line: Sea -140, O/U 5.5
The Blackhawks are looking for their 4th consecutive win after beating Arizona, Pittsburgh, and Nashville, at home. Can they keep the streak alive, on the road? The Kraken have lost 4-straight.
Pick: Kraken -140, Kraken 1st Period, Kraken 3rd period, Over 5.5
On any given night you can win all your picks, then on the next night, you can lose all of your picks! That’s the nature of sports gambling. What an informed bettor does is gather the facts, take an objective approach and bet on the weakest lines. This is where great internet sportsbook shine, if you don’t have one, be sure to find one. The lines and odds are better, and the payouts are faster.
