Young Celtics Laying Down a Marker in the NBA
If fans had to choose who they thought was the most exciting NBA team right now then many of them would choose the Boston Celtics. They have a hugely exciting young team, with many players stepping up and delivering well before they were supposed to and that has taken them on a fantastic winning streak to start the season. All of this is on the back of an awful on-court injury to Gordon Hayward in their season opener. That tells you all you need to know about this team. They are full of quality and perhaps more importantly, full of character.
Their season-opening loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers was a potentially damaging night for the franchise, but one that their young stars have rallied and overcome. They could have shrunk into their shells and felt sorry for themselves, but instead, they've come out fighting and deserve a ton of credit for what they have done.
They currently sit top of the Eastern Conference, something you would not have thought after the loss against the Cavs. At 25 years old, Kyrie Irving is somewhat of a veteran on the Celtics roster, and he is certainly leading them like one, averaging over 20 points per game. Behind Irving, the Celtics have what was supposed to be their future, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Both have played far bigger roles than the team would have wanted them to at this stage, but neither can be accused of shying away from the situation. If their play this season is a sign of things to come then the Celtics are in very good hands, and these two youngsters are going to be the names to watch out for over the next decade as they progress their NBA careers.

Many people have been placing their money on the Celtics, with the latest prices available on the homepage of various bookmakers. With such an impressive start, the odds on them to win either the Eastern Conference or the NBA Championship have shrunk and if they continue then expect to see that go down even further.
Throughout the summer, many quietly fancied the Celtics to perform well this season, but when Gordon Hayward went down against the Cavs, even the biggest Celtics fan will have doubted their team. However, all we have seen from them so far is a great mixture of young talent and huge character, and those two ingredients will make for a very exciting season.
There may be a long way to go, but so far the Boston Celtics are performing very well and we are getting to see a glimpse into the future with them. Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are exciting to watch, and best of all for the Celtics they are all youngsters, with Tatum still a teenager. If you are a Celtics fan then make no mistake about it, this team is legit and you have every right to be extremely excited about your chances right now.
